Jesse McCartney - Bleeding Love [original version]

Leona Lewis may have made the song a hit, but believe it or not the song was actually written by One Republic frontman, Ryan Tedder, and pop star Jesse McCartney. The song was however given to Leona after Jesse's 3rd album, Departure, was postponed. I bet he wished he kept the song though, seeing as it was the best-selling single for the UK in 2001, and the song has already topped the charts in 18 countries. Now Jesse's Departure album has finally hit stores, and we finally get to hear the original version of the song that introduced Leona to the world.

In February, Ciara announced plans to release a 3 part, amusement park themed album titled Fantasy Ride before the end of the year. So far, she has worked with Danja, The Clutch, Tricky & Dream, Polow and T-Pain for the album.

It was thought that the album's first single would be a song called High Price featuring Ludacris, however, Click is the first taste of new music to leak. The song is said to be meant for the Sex and the City soundtrack, but it is not confirmed whether the track will make the final cut of either album yet.

Rihanna's Take a Bow made oneof the biggest leaps in history this week, 53-1, pushing Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love out of the top spot. Take a bow's 53-1 leap makes it the second highest leap to #1 in history behind Maroon 5's 64-1 leap with Makes Me Wonder last May. Coincidentally, Rihanna is also featured on the band’s “If I Never See Your Face Again” which debuted at #57 this week. Rihanna also holds the 2 of the top 3 spots for highest first week digital sales as well.

The song which was released digitally last week debuted at #1 on the Digital 100 chart with sales of 266,000 giving Rihanna the second best opening in history, behind
Mariah Carey's Touch My Body[286,000] which coincidentally broke the previous record set by Rihannas Umbrella[277,000] in June of 2007.

Hell freezes over; Madonna compliments Mariah on Z100 and in IBN

Madonna personally squashed the so called rivalry between her and Mariah in an interview with Z100 earlier this week. During the interview Madonna was asked about her interpretation of the word legend, after Mariah took the term offensively according to one deejay. Madonna quickly tried to steer the conversation in a new direction, but not before noting that loves Mariah's new disc, E=MC2.

Madonna complimented Mariah again during an interview with IBN in New Delhi, Madonna was asked about what she thought of Mariah releasing her album in the same month. She replied by saying, "I don't really pay any attention to it, but I love her new record, 'Touch My Body’. It's good. I exercise to it everyday." However she later mentioned that she does ab works outs to Eminem because it's angry music. Mentioning Eminem could have been a low-key insult to Mariah.

I never thought I'd live to hear Madonna, who according to reports stopped Mariah from opening the Grammys in 2006, utter a nice word about Mariah. Now if only Mariah said a nice thing about Madonna, then maybe some of the rivalry between their fans will die out too.
